That sound

was going to write about the things that I haven't done yet this week (lots) and need to do (still lots)...but then it started raining.

I love rain. It's partly why I never left Seattle to go to a different college. Yes, I know it rains other places, but...it doesn't sound the same.

Our windows are all still open from the heat of this weekend, and the sound of the rain hitting the leaves and ground with that satisfying pit pat of rain after a long period without is hypnotizing. So I'm sitting here in the dark, typing away my ponderous thoughts to the universe, listening to nothing but the sound of tapping keys and glorious rain.

Yes, I still have things that need to get done.

But they can wait.

The rain is now.
